Rules of the Compendium Updates

:bulletgreen: The guidelines for Persona Fusion creation has been added under the Persona subtopic.

:bulletgreen: Please read this journal first before you proceed to The Persona Compendium

Arcane Ranks

This refers to the Rank an individual in a certain Suit (Swords, Wands, Chalices, and Pentacles) possesses, ranging from Rank One to Rank Ten.

Ranks give you certain benefits, such as new skill sets, or new Persona, and stronger stats in Shadow battles. Some benefits in the group will only be unlocked or accessible for you when you reach a certain Rank.

Raising You Arcana Rank

To go up a Rank, you need to purchase Blue Cards from the Shopping Center.

Your Arcane Rank depends heavily on you. You alone determine the pace of your growth in the group, based on your hard work in gaining your MP and overall performance.

Arcane Ranks, Arcana, and Suits is out-of-character knowledge. As an example, your character cannot tell other people about his or her Arcane Rank to other characters because it is not supposed to be known.

Persona

Choosing Persona

You can choose a Persona which belongs to any of the 5 Arcana under the Suit you have chosen, and falls under your current Rank or of a lower Rank.

Rank 1 characters must use the Starter Personae under Rank 1 Persona of each Arcana in the Persona Compendium.

You can only have one Persona at a time. Multiple Persona are for moderators only.

Your character can have a Custom Persona starting at Rank 5.

Designing Persona

For Persona listed in the Compendium, you may either use the same design from the Persona game where they came from or create your own version to fit your character.

You can change the gender of your chosen Persona, though, the design must not stray too far from the Persona's character and essence. As an example, 'Sarutobi Sasuke' is a ninja figure, and therefore must not be a samurai or a knight.

Changing Persona

Your Persona's Arcana may be different from your character's Arcana as long as both their Arcana are under the same Suit.

You can only change Persona once per Rank-Up.

You can devolve or evolve your Persona. This means that you can also return to a lower-level Persona if you wish.

When you update your Persona and Skill Set, please send a note to the group for checking.

Custom Persona

Persona can be any gods or goddess, creature, beast, spirit, demon, or personality/figure from mythology, antiquity or history, literary (from classics, not recent literature, anime, manga or movie), and folklore, whether Japanese or not.

They can be based completely, or roughly, but it must retain the qualities of that figure. For example, if it is a horse then it should be a horse. No joke Persona allowed.

They should not be in any existing Persona game. Please check the full Persona list in the Persona Compendium to determine if your chosen Persona has already been included or not.

Creating Custom Persona

To make a Custom Persona, you must present sketches of at least 2 to 3 ideal Custom Persona of your choice.

You must include the references you used, and a page which contains information about the character, creature, or figure you used, their Attributes and Skill set to be checked. You can make as much as you want so the moderators can approve 1 of them.

A combination of two or more unrelated mythological figures is not allowed.

Custom Persona Attributes

For Rank 5, you can have up to 5 Attributes only.

Your Attributes can start with 1 Attribute of your choice. ( Str (Strong), Wk (Weak), Nul (Null), Rpl (Repel), Drn (Drain) )

If you wish to add more attributes, you must keep in mind the following to ensure the balance of power:

- For 1 STR you put, you must put 1 WK.
- For 1 NUL you put, you must put 2 WK.
- For 1 RPL/DRN you put, you must put 3 WK.

Weapon Fusion

A "Weapon Fusion" is the combined strength of your current weapon and Persona. It infuses your weapon with magical attributes similar Persona's spiritual essence and abilities, and allows you to possess stronger abilities for a short period of time, called the Fusion Skill.

The Fusion Skill is an extension of their power, and is meant to give them an upper hand in battle, but only for a short period of time. (in relation to R9 SP Level)

Swords: 8 minutes | Wands: 17 minutes | Chalices: 14 minutes | Pentacles: 10 minutes

Fusion Skills are additional leverage granted by the Avatars to those who seek even greater strength.

Creating Weapon Fusion

To make a Weapon Fusion, simply combine the design of your weapon and Persona to create a whole new weapon design. It must retain the original weapon type as much as possible. The appearance can also possess a sort of fantasy-inspired look.

Present design sketches and proposals of your Weapon Fusion and Fusion Skill through a group note. The Fusion Skill must have balanced strengths and weaknesses. Its function must be created with respect to your character's battle style, Persona's characteristic, and even their inner personality.

Persona Fusion

A "Persona Fusion" is the perfected harmony of strength between your own self and your Persona. It represents how you and your Persona are truly one, and empowers the true self to overcome all obstacles and challenges. The abilities of your Persona is shared with you, thus granting you supernatural abilities like flight or strength.

The Persona Fusion is activated by summoning the Persona normally with the Cellphone Evoker. Once summoned, both forms merge together into the Persona Fusion form.

Should the user run out of SP, the battle is over, or Nightfall ends, the Persona then fades away, leaving the user in their appearance before the Persona Fusion was activated.

The Fusion Skill is an extension of their power, and is meant to provide an upper hand in battle, though it consumes a great amount of magical power. (in relation to R10 SP Level)

Creating Persona Fusion

To make a Persona Fusion, create a concept wherein your character is "wearing" their Persona -- wearing their clothes, wielding their weapons -- feel free to get creative! Although, the character must still be recognizable in the design. The appearance can also possess a sort of fantasy-inspired /sci-fi look, depending on your Persona.

Present design sketches and proposals of your Persona Fusion and Fusion Skill through a group note. The Fusion Skill must have balanced strengths and weaknesses. Its function must be created with respect to your character's battle style, Persona's characteristic, and even their inner personality.

Persona Skills and Skill Priority

Skill Priority Rule

This rule states that half of your Skill Set should belong to the list of skills prescribed to your chosen Suit. This means that for a skill set of 8, 4 skills should be from your Priority, and the other 4 can belong to other Skill Categories. Skills do not need to be strictly offensive to fall under skill priority as well. If there are passive skills that supplement what your suit does, then that counts as well. For example, a Sword that takes Power Slash, Cleave, Counter, and Regenerate 1 is still fulfilling their skill priority as the latter two skills supplement their attack and skill usage.

Choosing Skills

The skills provided are divided by Rank. These are the same skills present in the Persona games.
You may use all 8 slots for your skill set.

For Starter Skill Sets, please abide by the Skill Priority rule.

You can only choose skills which belong to your current Rank or of a lower Rank. You can combine skills from different Ranks.

On developing your Skill Set, please keep in mind that it should match with your Persona's stats.
For example, a Persona weak in Fire must not have the 'Agi' skill.

Moon Phases in skills, such as the 'New Moon' condition in the skill 'Zan-Ei', HP and SP cost rules now applies in RP, through the Shadow Battle System.

Changing Skills

You can only change your skill set once upon your Rank Up.

If you wish to change your Skills after Ranking Up, more information is provided in the Shopping Center.

Is it required we get the weapon fusion first before the persona fusion or can we skip the weapon and jump to last power up immediately?

Also: 'To make a Persona Fusion, create a concept wherein your character is "wearing" their Persona -- wearing their clothes, wielding their weapons -- feel free to get creative! Although, the character must still be recognizable in the design. The appearance can also possess a sort of fantasy-inspired /sci-fi look, depending on your Persona.'

-When wearing  their persona's clothes, can it be modified to an extent?
